Of a Monstrous Child

This isn’t the drawing that I intended to create. I had a different idea but when I started to execute it, other ideas came to me and I decided to go with it. I will get back to the original idea at some point. For this piece, I used a .18 Rapidograph pen.

I stole the title from Michel de Montaigne but the drawing does not bear any relationship to his essay. It was simply a phrase that harmonized with what I wanted to convey with the drawing. At times like these I wish I had the skills and resources to realize the costume in cloth. Eiko Ishioka would have been fun to collaborate with! Alexander McQueen? Sigh.

Anyway, this piece is for sale in my shop. If you are interested, you can find it here.
