About

Richard A. Kirk was born in Kingston Upon Hull, in 1962. He grew up in Ontario, Canada, where he lives to this day. Richard is an author, illustrator and visual artist.

Richard has illustrated many works by others, such as Clive Barker, Caitlin R. Kiernan, Christopher Golden, China Mieville, and the rock band Korn. He exhibits his personal artwork internationally.

Richard’s visual art is drawn from an interest in the forms and processes of the natural world. He explores these themes through the creation of meticulous drawings, which often depict chimerical creatures and protean landscapes. Metamorphosis is an underlying narrative in all of Richard’s work.
