The Assembly is a collaborative piece I did with American artist Joe MacGown. Joe prepared the board and started the drawing in ink. Earlier this year, I finished the piece, adding imagery to the top and bottom. I enjoyed working on this so much, I’m determined to do more work in ink on panel in the future. That’s really neat. You’re probably aware of it but this reminds me a bit if the exquisite corpse project.
Yes, that’s right! Although, Joe’s portion was visible to me when I was working on this, unlike some invisible corpse drawings where the other artist’s contribution is masked.
