I just finished this little silverpoint drawing this afternoon. It's part of a commissioned series for composer Cris Velasco. For fun I have also posted the pencil concept sketch below. Richard.
Iconoclast No. 8 (a work in progress)
I'm working on silverpoint drawings this week. The above image is a miniature from a series called Iconoclasts. It is the 8th and last image in the series. I thought I'd post a few images of my progress. - Richard.
Monster #3
Just a fun drawing I did earlier today. A weird little pupa monster. - Richard

I hope you enjoy it (remember, to see a larger version, you can click on the image above.) -... Continue Reading →

I re-imagined her as a mysterious mythological creature resting on the forest floor. Please note that this work is sold.
The Dark Essence of Sunny Disposition
A new graphite drawing finished today! This is available for purchase on in my webstore.

One for a series called the Iconoclasts and another for The Secret Society series. I'll show these little guys once they have been finished. In the... Continue Reading →
The Phantom Limb
This is my latest drawing, The Phantom Limb. It will be sent to the framer this week and then sent on for inclusion in the Beautifully Strange show at Clement Art (see previous post). The technique used for this drawing was diluted inks applied in overlaid brushstrokes. I hope you enjoy it. Richard.
