Drowned Library

This is a work in progress scan of a new piece called The Drowned Library. I may be channeling a little bit of J. G. Ballard here with a dash of Borges. It is a commission piece and I’m enjoying a return to technical pen pointillism after a few weeks of working exclusively with brush (I realize that these are fairly well split hairs for the layman but this is my world).

The image looks grey because I have left in the scanner cast so that the very faint pencil lines can be made out. I hope to finish this piece relatively quickly but I’ll post a couple more in progress shots as I go.
