For those who may not have heard yet, author Iain Banks has been diagnosed with terminal cancer. I don’t know Iain, I am just a fan like so many others. I remember the first day I encountered his work. It was at Bakka Books in Toronto in the mid to late 1980’s. I picked up his Wasp Factory and began reading it on the Queen Street car. I might have been anywhere when I finally looked up at the last page. Since then, Iain has written an amazing body of work and I’ve never failed to be blown away by his imagination. His work has inspired me as an artist and a writer. This news is devastating. A site has been set up where people can leave messages for Iain. It’s very moving to read how much his work means to people.

I am a Canadian artist, illustrator and author. This blog is where I talk about projects that am working on. I show finished works, but I also show works in progress and things that inspire me along the way. Feel free to leave a comment or ask a question. Thanks for dropping by.
