Unicorn

I found a piece of 300lb Arches coldpress paper with a deckle edge hiding in a folder. It was perfect for this drawing. I have always been amused by the story of Albrecht Dürer’s Rhinoceros engraving from 1515. Dürer had never seen such a creature at the time. This piece is inspired by that notion. Below the rhino, I’ve added a couple of production shots.
