A nice quote from the March Hare to set things rolling. Is it really nearly the end of March?
Gallery Nucleus has now posted the pieces for the We’re Not in Kansas Anymore show. You can see all of the amazing work for the show here. My piece Field of Poppies can be seen about half way down the second page. It is such an honor to show with so many talented people.
I’d also like to remind you about the other show I am in this month. Beautifully Strange opens at the Clement Gallery next week – details below. If you are on Facebook, check out the show page – there is a ton of great content about the other artists in the show.

Right now in the studio, I am finishing up the art for Death Poems by Thomas Ligotti, to be published by Bad Moon Books this spring. Once that is done, I will be taking a break from freelance illustration work to focus on the illustrations for my novel Necessary Monsters, work on some commissions that people have been waiting for with great patience, and immerse myself in number of personal studio works. At some point when the weather warms up I am going to clear out my room, repaint the walls and do something about all of those books and bones.
In the mean time, I am also planning on breathing some life back into this blog. Over the years, it has surged and fallen back many times – a reflection of my overall level of business. When nothing is happening here, it usually means I am deep into a project. At the same time, I derive a lot of pleasure from showing you what is happening in my little corner of the art world, so I’ll be thinking of ways to make this a more regular part of my life.
Cheers, Richard.
Lots going on. Very exciting. The “Oz” piece is awesome.
Keep them coming.
